Roberto Violi

Roberto Violi is Senior Director of the Bank of Italy, Head of Quantitative Investment Strategies. He has supervised several projects for upgrading portfolio management infrastructure, asset allocation techniques, financial risk monitoring, and reporting for the Bank of Italy's investment portfolio. He led the team designing the Bank's portfolio's Alternative Investments and Private Assets Program. He sits on the Advisory Board of AMUF (Private Assets Umbrella Fund of EIF, European Investment Fund), Muzinich DLFII private debt fund and Neuberger Berman Renaissance PE Fund.

Roberto was a member of the Bank of Italy Investment Committee and adviser to the Bank's Strategic and Risk Management Committee for several years. Previously, he served as Senior Director of the Portfolio Management and Risk Management Department of the Bank of Italy. Before then, he was Head of the Financial Markets Division in the Bank's Research Department.

He also served as Senior Economist at the European Department of the IMF and as a Research Officer at the IMF Capital Market Department in Washington (DC).
