Carlo Trabattoni
Carlo Trabattoni began his career in financial services at Fideuram SpA, laying the foundation for a distinguished path in asset management and distribution.
In 1991, he was appointed Commercial Director at InterEuropa Sim SpA, where he was responsible for establishing the sales division and managing the nationwide distribution network.
In 1996, he joined Schroders Italy Sim S.p.A. during its start-up phase, taking on the role of Commercial Director to develop the distribution of the firm’s investment products in the Italian market. By 2000, he was appointed Head of Schroders’ operations in Italy and Managing Director of the local entity. That same year, he was also named a representative for international asset managers within Assogestioni, Italy’s asset management association.
Carlo’s responsibilities expanded further in 2006 when he was promoted to Head of the Intermediary Channel for Continental Europe and the Middle East, while continuing as Country Head for Italy. He also became a member of the Global Distribution Executive Committee and the Global Retail Committee in London.
In 2009, he relocated to Japan as Country Head and Chairman of Schroder Investment Management (SIM), also serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2012, he returned to London as Head of Pan-European Distribution and the Global Financial Institutions Group, positions he held until 2016. He then moved to Santander Asset Management, where he served as Head of Distribution and Advisor to the CEO.
In 2017, Carlo joined Generali as Head of the Multi-Affiliate Strategy. He went on to become Chief Executive Officer of Generali Investment Partners, and in 2021 was promoted to CEO of Asset and Wealth Management for the Generali Group. He was a member of the Group Management Committee until June 2024.
Carlo currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Generali Real Estate Sgr S.p.A. and Generali Investment Luxembourg. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of Plenisfer Sgr S.p.A.. Until April 2025, he held the role of Chairman of Assogestioni, the association representing Italian asset managers, promoting transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness across the investment industry.
Carlo holds a degree in Economics and Business from Bocconi University in Milan.
