Samuel Zief is a portfolio manager on the Dynamic Multi-Asset Strategy and Head of FICC Research for J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s Specialized Strategies Team.

Prior to his current role, Sam was Global Macro Strategist & Head of FX Strategy for J.P. Morgan Global Wealth Management. In this role, he was responsible for developing and communicating the firm’s global macroeconomic views and investment strategies across developed market rates and foreign exchange markets.

Sam previously worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, holding a series of research and policy positions.

Most recently, he was responsible for crafting and disseminating the Open Market Trading desk’s views on international and foreign exchange market developments to senior Federal Reserve officials in New York and Washington, D.C.

Sam earned his M.A. in International Economics and Finance from Johns’ Hopkins University’s School for Advanced International Studies and his B.A. from George Washington University.

After spending five years with J.P. Morgan in London, Sam relocated to New York with his wife and two children in 2024.
