Axyon AI recognised as one of Italy's top five most talent-dense scale-ups

Ask what makes an AI company competitive, and most people will point to its models or its data. Both matter, yet every model is shaped by the people who design, test and challenge it. A new ranking from Nova Recruiter puts that side of Axyon AI in the spotlight.

We placed fourth in Nova's Talent Density ranking of 50 Italian scaleups. The top five also includes Bending Spoons, which was recently listed on NASDAQ.

How talent density is measured

Nova's Talent Density Score reflects the average calibre of the people working inside a company. Each person is scored on four factors: experience, education, international exposure and languages spoken. A company's score is the average of the individual scores of its current employees.

The ranking draws only on publicly available professional profiles, so no company can influence its own ranking. It focuses on scaleups, meaning innovative companies that have moved beyond the startup phase, have an established business model and aim to grow further, including internationally.

The team behind the result

Axyon AI now has more than 30 people, with an average age of around 33. We also invest in the next generation of talent by supporting top-tier universities and helping students turn academic research into hands-on experience.

Our longest-standing collaboration is with the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UniMORE), where we have just begun a new project under STEP, a regional research and development call. Alongside UniMORE, we work with the University of Bologna, Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino, mainly through internships linked to thesis projects.
